2015 Marshfield Softball

Beach Blast Tournament

 

 

 

                We would like to welcome everyone to the 2015 Marshfield Beach Blast Girls Softball Tournament, July 10 - 12. We hope this will be a fun filled weekend for all.  We have worked hard to provide you with well-groomed fields, quality umpiring and plenty of food and drinks for players and their families. Please do not hesitate to ask if there is anything we can help you with.  MGS Volunteers will be available to help you or to direct you to someone who can. We welcome and value any suggestions or ideas you may have to help us improve the experience for players and families going forward.

           

This year’s tournament will feature 18 teams; 6 teams in each of the U10, U12 and U14 divisions.

Some points we would like to highlight:

 

1)        ALL teams must check in at the registration table at least 60 minutes before their first game.  Please turn in your roster (unless mailed in), copies of the birth certificates for every player and proof of insurance.

2)      All teams will play 3 preliminary/seeding games Friday & Saturday and at least one game on Sunday (Weather Permitting!)

3)       We will be sending out an e-mail Saturday night before 10:00pm with Sunday’s Playoff seedings. It will also be posted on the front page of our MGS website at www.marshfieldgirlssoftball.net.

4)       Certified umpires will be working all games.

5)        One player from each team, chosen by the opposing team, will receive a MVP pin.  Pins will be handed out at the registration tent when you check in.

6)        Please read all the information provided to help make your tournament experience smooth and uneventful.  Be sure to read the rules section carefully.  ASA rules will be followed except where otherwise noted.

7)       Parking is available in the front and to the side of the Governor Winslow Elementary School.  Please be respectful of our neighbors and do not park on Regis Street, if at all possible.  Parking is available adjacent to the Furnace Brook Middle School immediately in front of the field.

8)       A trophy will be awarded to the winning team in each division. Medals will be given to all members of the championship teams.  Pins will be given to all members of runner-up teams. Commemorative Tournament T-shirts will also be available for purchase.

9)     There are absolutely no grills of any kind, pets or alcoholic beverages allowed anywhere in any of the field complexes, as per Marshfield Police & Fire departments. There is NO SMOKING at any complex.

10)    For the comfort of the players & coaches, it is suggested that all teams provide a pop up tent to shade their benches.

11)     Each team will bring with them their own first aid kits, including ice packs.

12)    \All fields are handicap accessible.  Please advise us ahead of time if anyone in your group requires special assistance.
